Research Facilities: An established Adverse Drug Reaction monitoring centre under the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission already exists in the department. The pharmacology department also supports and guides a well-equipped and functional hospital based pharmacy for both indoor and outdoor patients with its own formulary which can provide a base for drug utilization and pharmacy-epidemiological studies. In addition, there are research facilities in clinical pharmacology lab, chemical lab, pharmacy lab as well as a computer lab. The 1000 bedded hospital and a separate cancer research institute provides all the facilities required for interdepartmental clinical research. Interdepartmental facilities like PCR,flowcytometery and others are also available for research and diagnostic purposes.
