B.N. Gangadhar, MD, was a former senior professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), in Bangalore, India. He served as the director of NIMHANS and is currently affiliated with the National Medical Commission as Chaiman of council. Prof. Gangadhar was responsible for initiating yoga services for clinical application in mental health and neurosciences. He has conducted original research in yoga therapy in several psychiatric disorders, the results of which have influenced some of the practice guidelines. Notable among these is the role of yoga in depression and schizophrenia. Prof. Gangadhar has published more than 450 publications; nearly 100 have an H-index of 55.

Prof M Srinivas has had an illustrious career with more than three-decade experience in various positions in the academic, administrative and research fields. He joined the Institute in 1994 and ascended the academic ladder and became Professor of Pediatric Surgery in the year 2011. He has authored around 200 research papers and has trained thousands of undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. His administrative experience includes development of new medical colleges under the ESI Corporation and has contributed to initiation of more than 10 new medical colleges and starting post graduate and super speciality courses in these institutes. He also has experience in getting the NABH accreditation for ESIC hospital at Hyderabad. He has been a meritorious student throughout his career and has received several gold medals and Awards. He is a distinguished member of 15 Professional organizations and has been awarded fellowships by many of them. He did a prestigious fellowship from the Children’s Research Center, Dublin, Ireland and returned with a rich experience to teach and train in India. He has been appointed as the Director, AIIMS, New Delhi with effect from 23 September 2022.

She is a graduate in MD Pediatrics, (PGIMER, Chandigarh), having Fellowship of the American Association of Physicians of India. 1995. She was visiting Research Fellow. UK Saturday Hospital Trust.2001. She got her Travel grant from child Health International to attend an n orientation course on Cystic fibrosis at Southampton, UK. 2006. Grant to attend as Faculty a short course on evidence-based child health at Institute of Child Health. London. 2006. Grant to attend the Launch of Oslo Satellite of Cochrane effectiveness of practice and organization of care by Norwegian Knowledge Centre. November 2006. She has more than 300 publications to her name.

Swami Dayadhipananda aka Dr Shivakumar Maharaj is a monk of the Ramakrishna Order. Swamiji is an MBBS Graduate from JJM Medical College Davanagere After his graduation, inspired by the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, he joined the Ramakrishna Order in 2004 and was ordained into Sanyasa Diksha in the year 2016.

Swamiji has been privileged to serve the poor and needy at Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama [ a 200-bed charitable multi-speciality hospital] in Haridwar for 12 years. He has served the hospital in various capacities and is currently the Medical Superintendent.

Nagendra ji, born on New Year's Day 1943 in the south Indian state of Karnataka, graduated in mechanical engineering and continued his studies to secure a doctoral degree (PhD) from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. He is an Indian mechanical engineer, Yoga therapist, academic, writer and the founder vice chancellor of Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (S-VYASA), a deemed university located in Bengaluru. He is best known as the personal yoga consultant of Narendra Modi ji, the prime minister of India and is a recipient of Yoga Shri title from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. He has authored 35 books and over 100 research papers on Yoga. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2016, for his contributions to society.

Dr Chinmay Pandya is a qualified medical professional currently serving as the Pro Vice Chancellor of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya. He also serves on the board of founders at Rishi hood University. After completing his medical studies in India, he pursued further training in the United Kingdom, earning Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. During his time in London, he advanced within the British National Health Service, ultimately attaining the position of Associate Specialist in Older People Services at the West London Mental Health Trust. In this role, he managed patients with various psychiatric disorders, with a specific focus on the treatment of dementia related to Alzheimer’s disease. In 2010, he returned to India, following an inner calling.

Dr Pandya is actively involved in various leadership roles, serving on the Governing Body of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, being a member of the Advisory Council of the Ministry of AYUSH, and contributing to the Syllabus Restructuring Committee of the NCTE. Prof. K. K. Deepak (MBBS, MD, PhD, DSc) is currently a Visiting Professor at CBME, IITD. He is former Head of the Department of Physiology, Dean (Exams), Chief of Centre for Medical Education and Technology at AIIMS, New Delhi. He has collaborations with BARC Mumbai, NIT Jalandhar, IIT Madras and ESIC Medical College Faridabad. Earlier he worked with IIT Roorkee and AB-IIIT Gwalior. He set-up the first Autonomic Function Lab in India in 1989 for clinical services, research, education and technological developments at AIIMS-ND. This has a human database of 23000. He supervised more than 125 theses. He has been instrumental in establishing the autonomic function labs in several medical institutions in the country. His team developed cloud-based analysis of Heart Rate Variability (cHRV) with Digital India Corporation. In 2000 he established India’s first Vascular function lab in the Department of Physiology at AIIMS-ND which is contributing in R & D. Recently in 2023 he established first formal Biofeedback Clinic at AIIMS-ND. He started Space Physiology lab at AIIMS in 2013 and continue to do R & D in this area. He filed a patent for a gravitational loading body gear "pro-gravity body gear" in 2016, which was published in 2018. This pro-gravity body gear was successfully utilized in earth-based experiments on microgravity. Prof. Deepak is also inventor in six more patents related to isometric exercise, human muscular fatigue recording, endurance meter for rodents, and other space physiology-related innovations. In the beginning of his career, he developed a physical blood pressure simulation model which was used in NASA experiments.

He is formally trained in Educational Technology at Dundee Institute of Technology, Scotland in 1989. He served as visiting Professor at UCSD USA during 2017-2019.

Born to deeply religious minded parents in 1959 at Jammu, India, Dr. Rajeev Mohan Kaushik had his initial schooling at Jammu. He did his MBBS from the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, India and MD (Medicine) from the Government Medical College, Jammu. He is a Professor of Medicine at the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Dehradun, India. He has many publications in reputed medical journals and has been a faculty in several international medical congresses. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Indian College of Physicians for his significant contribution towards promoting a rational combination of alternative therapies with modern medical treatment.

A Sahaja yoga initiate, Dr. Kaushik's involvement in regular meditative practices gave him an insight into the esoteric realms of life and inspired him to examine all types of alternative therapies, particularly those involving yoga and spiritual practices. His first book The Midnight Awakening was based on his experiences after the awakening of the Kundalini power in him. His second book Snippets from the Subconscious is a compilation of his experiences with hypnosis.

Dr. Prakash Keshaviah graduated with a B.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras in 1967. He went on to complete an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis in 1970. His interests switched to the medical field soon thereafter, and he became a part of the “Artificial Heart Program” at the University of Minnesota. He obtained a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the same University in 1974. He joined the Regional Kidney Disease Program (RKDP), Minneapolis in 1973 and his dialysis research at RKDP earned him an M.S. degree in Physiology in 1980. With joint appointments at RKDP and at the University of Minnesota, he attained international recognition as a dialysis researcher with numerous peer-reviewed publications and speaking engagements all over the world. He held the positions of Director of Dialysis Research, Education and Training at RKDP and that of Adjunct Professor, Departments of Chemical and Mechanical Engineering and Member of the Graduate Faculty, Biomedical Engineering Program at the University of Minnesota.

After an illustrious academic career spanning 15 years in dialysis research, Dr. Keshaviah decided to delve into the corporate world, He excelled in the corporate world as well, working his way up to Vice President, Research and Advanced Development, at Baxter Healthcare Corporation. At Baxter, he worked on several advanced dialysis products and received several patents and technical awards.

After 30 years in the United States, Dr. Keshaviah returned to India to devote himself to a life of service and spirituality. Dr. Keshaviah was appointed as Professor of Physiology in the medical college of the Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust (HIHT) in Dehradun. The non-availability of dialysis facilities in the region prompted him to set up a dialysis program at HIHT in 1999 and a kidney transplant program in 2005. The dialysis unit at HIHT now performs over 15,000 dialysis procedures per year. Dr. Keshaviah has also been involved in the water and sanitation programs of the Rural Development Institute of HIHT and has helped in setting up a vocational training program for rural youth. He is a member of the Governing Body of HIHT, is on the Board of Governors of Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) and is Advisor, Finance to the Vice Chancellor of SRHU.

As a disciple of Swami Rama of the Himalayas, Dr. Keshaviah continues to pursue his spiritual development and is actively involved in spreading the teachings of Swami Rama through books, audio CDs and videos. He has co-authored the book, ‘At the Feet of a Himalayan Master: Remembering Swami Rama, Volume 1’ and has served as the editor of all 5 volumes of the series.
