Mentorship
At SRHU, mentorship is not a scheduled meeting — it is a relationship. One rooted in empathy, trust, and the conviction that every student deserves a guide who genuinely knows them.
This belief is not incidental to SRHU's identity — it is foundational. H.H. Swami Rama's vision of education was always inseparable from the teacher-pupil bond: the idea that real learning happens not in the transfer of information, but in the quality of the relationship between a student and their guide. At SRHU, faculty are not merely instructors. They are mentors — present, attentive, and genuinely invested in the growth of every student under their care.
Faculty Mentorship
The Everyday Relationship- Every student at SRHU is paired with a dedicated faculty mentor from their first semester. Mentors provide personalised guidance on academic challenges, career planning, goal-setting, time management, and the inevitable difficulties of university life. They track progress, offer counsel, celebrate growth, and provide a steady, trusted presence throughout a student's journey. This relationship is also mandated and evaluated by NAAC and NIRF — regulatory bodies that recognise mentor-mentee engagement as a core marker of institutional quality. SRHU embraces this not as compliance, but as a living expression of its values.
Alumni Mentorship
The Network of Experience- Beyond faculty, SRHU's growing alumni network extends the mentoring ecosystem beyond graduation. Alumni mentors offer something faculty cannot always provide — the lived experience of having walked the same corridors, faced the same crossroads, and built a career from the same starting point. They offer industry insights, professional networks, internship and placement guidance, and the honest perspective of someone who has navigated the transition from student to professional.
Peer Mentorship
Learning From Each Other- Senior students serve as peer mentors — helping juniors settle into university life, navigate academic systems, and find their footing. This layer of peer-to-peer support builds confidence in mentors and mentees alike, and creates a culture of mutual care and collective growth that defines the SRHU community.
