Wound Care Workshop held

A Workshop on wound care was organised jointly by Critical Care Nursing Department and Critical Care Medicine Department of Swami Rama Himalayan University.

Chief guest at the workshop was Principal Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr Ashok Kumar Deorari. He explained that wound care by nurses plays a critical role in faster recovery of the patients in critical care units. Nurses need to be more educated regarding updated information about wound care. In the workshop nurses were trained on different techniques of dressing wound care as per the direction of experts.

In the workshop Wound Care Clinical specialist Nurse Kunj Bihari Yadav, Himalayan Hospital ICU expert Dr Sonika, Dr Sushant, Dr Nandkishore, Dr Sonu Sama, Surgery Department Head, Dr Hemant Nautiyal, Dr Manu Rajan, Dr Kamli Praksh and Dr Harleen Kaur provided their expert opinion. In the workshop all the participants were given hands on experience by the practitioners in Critical care of Himalayan Hospital. Principal Himalayan college of Nursing, Dr Sanchita Pugazhendi felicitated the participants and the organizers of the workshop and appreciated the collaborative venture of Critical Care Nursing and Critical Care Medicine department during the valedictory session in her speech. Workshop Chairperson Dr Rajesh Kumar Sharma welcomed the participants.
