National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF)

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) carries out ranking of higher education institutions in the country under the MHRD. The methodology uses several parameters covering “Teaching, Learning and Resources,” “Research and Professional Practices,” “Graduation Outcomes,” “Outreach and Inclusivity,” and “Perception”. Ranking is done both at overall institution level (University/ College) and/ or discipline wise. The NIRF ranking for 2020 was released in 10 categories which included Universities as well as other institutions running Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Architecture, Law, Medical and Dental programs. The NIRF Team at NBA (National Board of Accreditation) plays a major role in the execution of this task. The ranking system is considered to promote excellence in education in a competitive environment. It helps students choose the best University/Institute. A national ranking ensures that all higher educational institutes/University endeavor hard to improve their rankings.

Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) has participated in NIRF Ranking 2022, NIRF Ranking 2023 & NIRF Ranking 2024 for ranking of its constituent college i.e. Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS), under the “Medical” discipline.
