Himalayan College of Nursing

Established in 2006, Himalayan College of Nursing (HCN) is a premier institution dedicated to excellence in nursing education, practice, and research. Guided by the vision of providing competent, compassionate, and ethical healthcare professionals, HCN’s undergraduate, postgraduate, Ph.D., and fellowship programs are thoughtfully designed to keep pace with the evolving healthcare landscape. The college embraces an integrated three-dimensional model—education, research, and service—ensuring that graduates are industry-ready and socially responsible.

The curriculum blends evidence-based academic learning with hands-on clinical experience at the adjoining 1200-bedded Himalayan Hospital, a multi-specialty NABH-accredited facility. This direct exposure to diverse healthcare scenarios equips students with critical thinking, leadership, and decision-making skills.

HCN’s faculty comprises experienced educators and clinical experts who provide personalized mentoring, encouraging students to excel both academically and professionally. Regular workshops, seminars, and guest lectures by industry leaders broaden perspectives and keep students abreast of evolving healthcare practices.

Committed to community engagement, HCN actively organizes health awareness programs, rural outreach camps, and celebrations of global health days, fostering a deep sense of social responsibility in its students. Recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and the Uttarakhand Nursing Council, HCN continues to set benchmarks in nursing education in the Himalayan region and beyond.
