School of Management Studies (SMS) – one of the top BBA colleges in Dehradun, energizes learning in this light. Students are imparted requisite skills, such as planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, leadership and oversight. These are in sync with the present-day needs of the industry. The programs offered here are aimed at overall development of the students that not only instill confidence, knowledge and a value system but also help enhance their potential.To make students employable and industry-ready, Industry-academia partnership platforms like conclaves, roundtables, and seminars are a regular feature in the institution.

Apart from credit-based courses providing the required core skills, HSMS also offers non-credit courses such as Communicative English, Disaster Management, Environmental Studies, etc.

Like most rural parts of the country, Uttarakhand also faces the threat of migration. Students are also given exposure to rural management which too could, in future times, help provide a solution to the problem of isolation of villages.

Teaching & Training

Student-centric pedagogy stimulates learning and nurtures a deep understanding of management principles. Our academic activities are recognized as progressive and industry-relevant with a focus on practical learning, innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership development, analytical skills, and exposure to the latest trends in global business and management practices.

Students receive knowledge and skills through case studies, simulation exercises, guest lectures from corporate leaders, tutorials, industrial visits, workshops, seminars, inter-disciplinary programs & projects, small group activities, and one-on-one mentoring, selectively utilizing multimedia and digital platforms.

Students also gain extensive exposure in diverse domains of management, including finance, marketing, human resources, operations, entrepreneurship, and analytics through business simulations, conferences, seminars, special workshops, research-based projects, and field assignments. Besides theoretical knowledge, they are empowered with applied skills such as internships, live projects, corporate interactions, training in simulated decision-making environments, and real-world exposure critical to developing business acumen and leadership qualities.

Our Placement Cell, with strong ties to corporates, consulting firms, banks, start-ups, and leading organizations, facilitates internships, live projects, and mentoring while providing full placement support to prepare students for leadership roles, entrepreneurial ventures, and diverse management careers in India and abroad.
