Overview
The M.Sc. Biotechnology programme is an advanced postgraduate programme designed to provide in-depth theoretical knowledge and intensive research-oriented training in modern biotechnology. The curriculum covers advanced molecular biology, genomics, proteomics, recombinant DNA technology, cell and tissue culture, bioinformatics, biostatistics, and bioprocess engineering, enabling students to develop a strong understanding of cutting-edge biotechnological concepts and applications.
In line with NEP-2020’s emphasis on research, innovation, and higher-order thinking, the programme strongly focuses on hands-on research, laboratory-based dissertation work, internships, and project-based learning. Students are trained in experimental design, data analysis, scientific writing, and ethical research practices, preparing them for doctoral studies, research careers, and R&D positions in academia, industry, healthcare, and government research organizations. The programme aims to nurture independent researchers, innovators, and future leaders in biotechnology.
Programme Objective
