The M.Sc. Environmental Sciences program is designed to provide advanced knowledge and practical skills for understanding, managing, and solving complex environmental problems. Students gain in-depth understanding of environmental pollution, waste management, water and air quality assessment, environmental impact assessment (EIA), environmental laws and policies, and sustainable development practices. Programme Objective

The objectives of the M.Sc. Environmental Sciences program are to provide advanced interdisciplinary knowledge of environmental systems, processes, and challenges. The program aims to develop practical skills in environmental monitoring, assessment, and management using modern analytical and field-based techniques. It emphasizes understanding of environmental pollution, climate change, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable resource use. The program seeks to build research aptitude, critical thinking, and awareness of environmental laws, policies, and ethics. It prepares graduates for professional careers, research, and higher studies, enabling them to contribute effectively to environmental protection and sustainable development.

The student shall be eligible for admission to a Master’s Degree Program in Environmental Science after he/she has successfully completed a three-year B.Sc. undergraduate degree with Microbiology/Biotechnology/ Environmental science/Botany/Zoology/Chemistry as one of the subjects or earned with not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade prescribed number of credits or through the examinations conducted by university as equivalent to an undergraduate degree.
