Dr. Narendra K. Rustagi Delivers Guest Lecture on “India: Glorious Past to Glorious Future” at SRHU

Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) organized a distinguished guest lecture by Dr. Narendra K. Rustagi, Director of the Centre for Global Business Studies and Professor at the School of Business, Howard University, USA, on the theme “India: Glorious Past to Glorious Future.” The event took place at BC Roy Auditorium, with active participation from students and faculty members.
Dr. Vijay Dhasmana, Hon’ble President, SRHU, formally welcomed and felicitated Dr. Rustagi, appreciating his global academic expertise and contribution to education. He highlighted the importance of such international academic engagements in broadening the perspectives of students and encouraging them to think critically about India’s evolving role in the global arena.
In his lecture, Dr. Rustagi provided a historical overview of India’s achievements in ancient times, including advancements in education, trade, science, and culture. He spoke about India’s intellectual traditions and its global influence over centuries.
He further discussed India’s contemporary transformation, with a focus on its demographic potential, technological progress, entrepreneurial growth, and increasing international presence. He emphasized the role of education, ethical governance, and innovation in shaping India’s future.
The session drew attention to the importance of linking India’s civilizational strengths with modern aspirations, and inspired students to become proactive contributors to national development.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various departments, with excellent support provided by the Media, IT, and Estate Departments to ensure smooth execution. The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks, followed by tea and interaction with the guest.
