Effective Presentation Skills Session Empowers Clinical Research Students at SRHU

On 2nd August 2024, the Department of Clinical Research at the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Swami Rama Himalayan University, conducted a session on Effective Presentation Skills as part of the Orientation Program for clinical research students. The session aimed to equip participants with the essential techniques to communicate their ideas clearly, confidently, and engagingly.

During the session, students learned how to structure their presentations with a clear introduction, a logically organized body, and a strong conclusion. Emphasis was placed on audience engagement strategies, including storytelling, interactive elements, and the effective use of visual aids such as slides. The facilitator also highlighted the importance of non-verbal communication, teaching participants how to use body language and vocal variety to enhance their message.

The session included practical exercises where students delivered presentations and received constructive feedback to refine their skills. By the end, participants gained valuable tips and increased confidence to deliver compelling presentations. This training will help them manage audience interactions, adapt content to diverse listeners, and handle questions effectively, preparing them for academic and professional success.
