Empowering Change: Gender Sensitization Lecture Held at Department of Clinical Research

On August 7, 2024, the Department of Clinical Research at the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS), Swami Rama Himalayan University, organized an insightful session on Gender Sensitization, facilitated by Dr. Geeta Bhandari. The session, attended by 15 participants, was aimed at enhancing awareness and understanding of gender-related issues, breaking down harmful stereotypes, and fostering a more inclusive and respectful environment both within and outside academic settings.

Dr. Bhandari began the session by introducing the concept of gender sensitization and its critical role in addressing systemic biases and promoting equality. She elaborated on how gender stereotypes negatively impact individuals of all genders, influencing their choices, opportunities, and interpersonal dynamics.
