The Himalayan School of Science and Technology (HSST) celebrated Engineers’ Day on 16th September 2024 with great enthusiasm, honoring the birthday of Sir M. Visvesvaraya, one of India’s greatest engineers and a Bharat Ratna awardee. The event paid tribute to his remarkable contributions to the field of engineering in India and recognized the dedication and innovation of engineers worldwide. A total of 138 participants, including students and faculty, actively took part in the celebration.
The objective of the Engineers’ Day Celebration was to recognize and honor the contributions of engineers towards society, innovation, and national development. The event aimed to commemorate engineering leaders, promote awareness about engineering, inspire future engineers, foster innovation and creativity, build a professional community, and encourage ethical and sustainable engineering practices.
The celebration, themed “Honoring Innovation and Excellence,” featured innovative project showcases, thought-provoking discussions, and inspiring speeches that highlighted the critical role engineers play in shaping a sustainable and progressive future. The program successfully cultivated a spirit of creativity, excellence, and appreciation for the engineering profession.
