On March 11, 2025, the Department of Clinical Research at SRHU, organized an Alumni meet on “Career opportunities in Clinical Research in India”. The session was conducted by Ms. Deeksha Topwal, who currently serves as the Clinical Research Associate at Clinical Research Network India, New Delhi.
Ms. Topwal, touched upon the fundamentals of clinical research, its significance in drug development, and its role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of medical treatments. She talked about the current landscape of clinicial research in India, increasing investment from pharmaceutical companies and CROs and various Government initiatives and regulatory reforms promoting ethical and efficient clinical trials.
The session aimed to provide insights into the growing opportunities, challenges, and future prospects of clinical research in India. Following the lecture, an engaging Q&A session took place where students and faculty members clarified their doubts and discussed career guidance. The speaker provided valuable insights and encouraged students to explore opportunities in the field. The lecture received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants, who appreciated Ms. Deeksha’s ability to simplify complex topics and provide practical insights. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Nikku Yadav, Incharge, Department of Clinical Research, expressing gratitude to Ms. Deeksha for her valuable time and expertise.
