Faculty members from the Himalayan School of Science & Technology (HSST) successfully participated in a 15-day National Level Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Moodle Learning Management System”, held from 1st to 15th March 2025. The FDP was conducted in collaboration with the Academic Partner of IIT Bombay, providing a valuable opportunity to enhance digital pedagogy and instructional design using Moodle.
Designed to upskill educators in technology-enabled teaching, the FDP covered every aspect of Moodle—from installation and dashboard navigation to advanced course management and student engagement tools. Participants received hands-on training on setting up Moodle on a local server, managing users, creating courses, and configuring roles and permissions.
Throughout the program, the faculty explored interactive teaching tools such as forums, quizzes, and assignments, as well as grading systems, question banks, and reporting features. Emphasis was laid on optimizing course delivery and improving student learning outcomes using Moodle’s robust features. The FDP also addressed challenges in digital teaching and introduced strategies for performance tracking and learner communication.
A total of 25 faculty members from HSST took part in the FDP. The sessions empowered them with practical skills and strategies to seamlessly integrate Moodle into their teaching workflows. The exposure has prepared them to lead more structured, learner-centric, and interactive academic experiences for students.
By successfully completing this national-level FDP, HSST faculty have taken a decisive step toward advancing digital education and aligning with modern academic practices. The initiative also reinforces SRHU’s commitment to continuous faculty development and academic excellence.
