The Himalayan School of Science and Technology (HSST), Swami Rama Himalayan University, hosted an insightful Career Counselling Workshop in collaboration with Rubico IT Ltd., Haridwar, on 20th November 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Held across the HSST Auditorium and LT-3, the workshop was designed to connect students with real-world IT industry practices and emerging technologies, thereby strengthening the bridge between academic learning and professional readiness.
Led by a team of experienced professionals from Rubico IT Ltd., the event offered a dynamic blend of technical knowledge and career-oriented guidance. Key sessions included topics such as Prompt Engineering for developers, AWS Three-Tier Application Architecture, Cloud and DevOps integration, and effective strategies for career development. Through live examples and interactive discussions, the experts helped students explore practical IT solutions and gain exposure to industry expectations.
The workshop featured distinguished speakers: Mr. Kundan Negi (HR Lead) addressed career readiness strategies, Mr. Lokesh Gupta (Technical Lead) introduced Prompt Engineering concepts, Ms. Neha Prajapati (HR) shared valuable tips on interview preparation and personal development, while Ms. Divya Sharma (Cloud & DevOps Engineer) delved into AWS-based application structures and modern DevOps workflows. The event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting and welcome by Mr. Ayush Sharma (Placement Coordinator, SRHU), followed by an address from Dr. Pramod Kumar (Principal, HSST), who emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between industry and academia.
With 119 students participating, the workshop provided a unique opportunity to gain first-hand insights into how the IT industry is evolving. It empowered students not only with technical concepts but also with soft skills crucial for professional success.
