Report on Quality Assurance Program on ‘Achieving Academic Excellence through Accreditation & Ranking.’
Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) organized a Quality Assurance Program on “Achieving Academic Excellence through Accreditation & Ranking” on 19th August 2025 at the HIMS Conference Hall. The event was graced by the presence of Shri Ravin Nair, Managing Director, QS I-Gauge, Bengaluru, and Shri Cyril Benz, Associate Director, QS I-Gauge, along with Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. Rajendra Dobhal, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Ashok Kumar Deorari, Director General (Academic Development) Dr. Vijendra Chauhan, Director IQAC, Dr. Pradeep K. Varshney, and Principals, Heads, and Directors of various academic units of the university.
The program commenced with an introduction by Dr. Pradeep K. Varshney, Director, IQAC, SRHU, followed by the presentation of floral greetings to the esteemed guests by Dr. Rajendra Dobhal and Dr. Ashok Kumar Deorari. In his welcome address, Dr. Rajendra Dobhal emphasized the critical importance of accreditation, adherence to quality benchmarks, and achieving global competitiveness in higher education. This was followed by a short presentation by Dr. Vijendra Chauhan, Director General (Academic Development), who outlined the university’s ongoing initiatives in academic development and quality enhancement.
The keynote address was delivered by Shri Ravin Nair, who provided valuable insights into strategies for strengthening academic quality, improving institutional performance, and achieving global ranking standards. He stressed the significance of structured quality frameworks as a foundation for sustaining long-term academic excellence.
The dignitaries were felicitated, and blessings were sought for the university’s future endeavors. The QS I-Gauge team also undertook a campus visit to review SRHU’s infrastructure, academic environment, and innovation-driven practices. The program concluded with an interactive session over tea and lunch, where faculty and leadership engaged in discussions on collaborative opportunities and strategic pathways for future growth. The event was coordinated by Dr. Nikku Yadav, QS I-Gauge Coordinator, and marked a significant step forward in strengthening SRHU’s commitment to quality assurance, accreditation, and global recognition. The deliberations and insights shared during the program are expected to guide the university’s continuous pursuit of academic excellence.
