The program, sponsored by the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, aimed to equip participants with the principles and practical applications of ethical and good clinical practices in healthcare and research.

The valedictory ceremony, held on 7th August 2025 at Sushruta Lecture Theatre-1, brought together 47 students and 25 faculty members, along with dignitaries, resource experts, and university leadership. The event marked the culmination of an enriching academic journey that blended theory with hands-on learning experiences.

Over the course of five weeks, participants attended 43 expert-led lectures covering 92 hours of content from diverse fields such as clinical research, bioethics, regulatory affairs, biostatistics, and medical sciences. Complementing the lectures, the program featured 23 practical sessions, totalling 46 hours, designed to strengthen applied skills.

A notable highlight was the 12-hour immersive hands-on demonstration series held at SRHU’s premier facilities, including the School of Yoga Sciences, Ayurveda Centre, Clinical Trial Centre, Himalayan Hospital, Himalayan Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and the Skills and Simulation Centre. These sessions offered participants real-world exposure to ethical practices and clinical research protocols in varied healthcare environments.

The ceremony featured an inspiring address by Dr. Bindu Dey, Director of Research, SRHU, who urged participants to uphold integrity and ethics as a lifelong commitment. Lt. Gen. Dr. Daljit Singh, Dean-cum-Principal, HIMS, extended his blessings, motivating attendees to translate their learning into meaningful professional contributions.

Certificates were distributed to all participants, with special acknowledgments for the resource faculty for their invaluable contributions. Awards were also presented to winners of the Treasure Hunt and Business Idea activity, recognizing their creativity, collaboration, and innovative thinking.

A special video presentation captured the memorable moments of the five-week journey, featuring learning sessions, collaborative activities, and participant feedback.

The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem, followed by a group photograph and high tea, marking the successful end of a program that not only built knowledge but also reinforced SRHU’s commitment to fostering ethical excellence in healthcare and clinical research.
