The School of Science & Technology (SST) at Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), in collaboration with the Virtual Labs team from IIT Roorkee, organized a one-day workshop titled “Hands-on Session on Virtual Laboratory” on 8th November 2025 (Saturday). The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Vinod Kumar, Advisor, SRHU, and Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar, Dean, School of Science & Technology, who greeted the visiting team and the distinguished speaker, Prof. R. S. Anand from IIT Roorkee. The workshop aimed to familiarize students and faculty with the concept, functioning, and educational value of Virtual Labs, emphasizing their role in enhancing practical learning through digital experimentation. Participants gained hands-on experience in performing remote experiments, showcasing how Virtual Labs bridge infrastructural and geographical gaps in science and engineering education. The session also featured interactive discussions and demonstrations that highlighted how Virtual Labs complement traditional laboratories, strengthen conceptual understanding, and encourage innovation in teaching and learning. The workshop saw enthusiastic participation from B.Tech students of I, II, and III year, who actively engaged in the activities and explored the immense potential of Virtual Labs as a transformative tool for accessible and effective education.
