Overview

The B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) with a specialization in VLSI (Very Large-Scale Integration) is a four-year undergraduate program designed to provide students with a strong foundation in core electronics and communication engineering concepts, along with in-depth expertise in VLSI design, fabrication, and semiconductortechnology. The curriculum is carefully structured to bridge fundamental theory with hands-on practical experience, ensuring students are well-prepared for the rapidly evolving electronics and semiconductor industry.

The program covers essential topics such as analog and digital electronics, signals and systems, communication systems, microprocessors and microcontrollers, embedded systems, and control systems, while offering specialized courses in VLSI design, CMOS technology,digital IC design, ASIC and FPGA design, system-on-chip (SoC), low-power VLSI, and semiconductor device modeling. Students gain practical exposure through well-equipped
laboratories, industry-standard EDA tools, simulation platforms, mini-projects, and capstone design projects.

To enhance industry readiness, the program emphasizes design-oriented learning, problem- solving skills, and innovation. Students are encouraged to participate in internships, industry- sponsored projects, workshops, and certification programs aligned with current industry practices. The curriculum also integrates emerging trends such as nanotechnology, AI- assisted chip design, Internet of Things (IoT) hardware, and hardware security.
