“Stronger Together: Advanced Therapy Clinical Trials Without Borders,” which emphasized the importance of collaboration, innovation, and patient-centred advancements in clinical research across the world. The programme commenced at 10:00 AM with an engaging Poster Presentation Competition organized for MSc Clinical Research students in the Department of Clinical Research. The students presented posters on diverse topics related to clinical research and various disciplines of medical sciences, demonstrating scientific understanding, analytical thinking, creativity, and research aptitude under the Guidance of Dr Nikku Yadav & Dr Manisha Sharma. The occasion was graced by Dr. Ahmadulla Shriff, Dean HIMS, as the Chief Guest. The poster presentations were evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges comprising Prof. D.C. Dhasmana, Dr. Anuradha Kusum, Dr. (Brig.) Ravinder Saini, Dr. Ruchi Juyal, Dr. Kiran Bhat, Dr. Arti Kotwal, Dr. Deep Shikha, and Dr. Vidisha Vallabh. Their valuable insights, constructive feedback, and encouragement greatly motivated the participating students and enhanced the academic spirit of the event.

Following the poster presentation session, an interactive and motivational activity titled “Pass the Success Forward” was conducted for the 14 MSc Clinical Research students. The activity was moderated by Dr. Nikku Yadav, Dr. Manisha Sharma, and Ms. Pooja Kandari. The session highlighted the importance of teamwork, mutual support, generosity, leadership, and collective growth among future clinical research professionals. The activity served as a meaningful reminder that success becomes more impactful and fulfilling when shared with peers and colleagues.
Post lunch, an informative Awareness Session on the “Role of Clinical Research in Drug Discovery and Development Process” was organized at Sushruta LT-1 for pharmacy and allied health sciences students. Dr. Nikku Yadav, Incharge and Associate Professor, delivered an insightful lecture on the topic “Awareness Session: Role of Clinical Research in Drug Discovery and Development Process.” The session provided students with a comprehensive understanding of the significance of clinical research in modern healthcare, drug development, patient safety, and evidence-based medicine.
A special highlight of the programme was the inspiring interaction by the department’s distinguished alumna, Ms. Arpita Borgaonkar, Associate Centralised Monitor, IQVIA RDS Ltd., Mumbai. Addressing the students on the topic “Why to Pursue MSc Clinical Research from Swami Rama Himalayan University?” she shared her professional journey, industry experiences, and valuable insights regarding career opportunities and professional growth in the field of clinical research. Her interaction motivated students to explore emerging opportunities and pursue excellence in clinical research.
The post-lunch activities also included Role Plays by MSc Clinical Research students on the Informed Consent Process, enabling participants to understand the ethical and communication aspects involved in clinical trials. In addition, students visited the Clinical Trial Centre in groups, where they received practical exposure to clinical research operations and trial management processes, thereby enhancing their experiential learning.
The celebration of International Clinical Trials Day 2026 concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. The event effectively promoted scientific curiosity, collaborative learning, ethical awareness, and professional motivation among aspiring clinical research professionals. The programme reflected the continued commitment of Swami Rama Himalayan University toward excellence in clinical research education, healthcare innovation, and capacity building in translational and patient-centred research.
