On the occasion of World optometry day,a special skit was organized at Himalayan Hospital, Jolly Grant by the students of Optometry. The primary aim of this program was to create awareness among the public regarding the professional distinction of optician and optometrist. The event was coordinated by Mrs. Neelam Tiwari (Faculty, Optometry Department). The skit was performed by students of Optometry, who effectively conveyed the message about the need and significance of eye testing before consulting to opticians in a dramatic performance. The play highlighted how regular eye checkup can help them in improving their eyesight. Along with the skit, the students also prepared a number of posters and pamphlets which were displayed and distributed among the audience. These creative efforts further motivated people and enhanced the impact of the awareness campaign. The program was graced by Principal – Dr Renu dhasmana Vice principal – DrAnuradha kusum Dr kiran bhat and Mrs Neelam Tiwari Head of department (ophthalmology) -Dr harsh bahadur They not only appreciated the efforts of the students but also delivered inspiring speech. The event concluded with a strong message “Routine Eye Care Advocacy” .The initiative received an enthusiastic response from the audience, making the awareness a successful step towards promoting eye care
