“आगमन – Celebrating New Connections” at SST, SRHU
The School of Science & Technology (SST), Swami Rama Himalayan University, organized a vibrant Freshers’ Party titled “आगमन – Celebrating New Connections” on 14th October 2025 at the Visvesvaraya Auditorium to warmly welcome the first-year students of Batch 2025–26. The event began with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony graced by Dr. Pramod Kumar, Dean, SST, along with the faculty members, marking the start of a new journey for the students. In his welcome address, Dr. Kumar encouraged the newcomers to pursue their academic goals with discipline, dedication, and enthusiasm, while appreciating the efforts of the organizing committee and senior students for their creativity and teamwork.
The cultural performances by senior students—including 17 captivating dance and musical acts—brought immense energy and excitement to the stage, reflecting the vibrant spirit of SST. Engaging games and fun activities further enhanced interaction between first- and second-year students, fostering friendship and camaraderie. The highlight of the event was the Ramp Walk, where the freshers showcased confidence and style, earning admiration from the audience and judges alike. Special titles were later awarded, including Mr. Fresher – Bhasker, Ms. Fresher – Ritika Joshi (B.Tech), Mr. Confident – Aakash (BCA), Ms. Confident – Mishti (B.Tech-CSE), Ms. Diva – Tanshvi Chaudhary (B.Tech-CSE), Best Dancer – Diya Kandari (B.Tech-CSE), and Mr. Handsome – Siddhant Posti (B.Tech-CSE).
The celebration concluded with a delightful lunch, bringing together faculty, seniors, and freshers in a spirit of unity and joy. The success of the event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of various committees, including Catering, Discipline, Media & Photography, Sound and DJ, and Decoration Teams. “आगमन” truly marked a memorable beginning for the new batch—celebrating togetherness, creativity, and the excitement of new beginnings.
