A Lecture on Cyber Hygiene and Cybercrime Awareness organised by SST, SRHU
The School of Science & Technology, SRHU, has organized Seminar on “Cyber Hygiene and Cybercrime Awareness” on 20th November 2025. The session aimed to create awareness among students about safe online practices, emerging cyber threats, and preventive measures to safeguard digital identity and data.
The program began with the Cyber Security Oath, administered to all participants as per the guidelines available on gov.in, reinforcing their commitment to maintaining responsible digital behavior. The session covered key areas including password hygiene, phishing attacks, social engineering threats, digital financial frauds, safe use of social media, and reporting mechanisms through national cyber grievance portals. Real-life case studies and practical demonstrations were also shared to enhance participants’ understanding.
The session witnessed active participation, and attendees engaged in an interactive Q&A round. The lecture successfully highlighted the importance of adopting routine cyber hygiene practices.
