On 1st May 2025, students of BCA IV Semester (Sections A & C) from the School of Science & Technology (SST), SRHU, embarked on a one-day industrial visit to Rubico IT Pvt. Ltd., Haridwar. This visit, an essential component of the academic curriculum, aimed to offer practical exposure to real-world IT operations and industry expectations.
Organized with the guidance of Dr. Pramod Kumar (Principal, SST) and Mr. Ayush Sharma (Deputy Manager, Placement Cell), and coordinated by Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Mr. Sanjeev Gupta, Mr. Rachit Lakhera, and Ms. Vaishali Gupta from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, the visit was meticulously planned to ensure maximum learning outcomes.
The students were welcomed with technical and HR interaction sessions and were divided into domain-based groups such as front-end development, testing, and networking. Each group was mentored by Rubico’s in-house experts who shared detailed insights into various professional roles and responsibilities. The visit also included a tour of employee facilities like the in-house gym and recreational areas, giving students a glimpse into the work-life balance at a leading IT company.
With 55 students participating, the visit bridged the gap between classroom knowledge and industry realities. It proved instrumental in deepening their understanding of industry demands, broadening career perspectives, and motivating them to align their skills with current technology trends.
