An insightful entrepreneurial session for the 2022 batch of MBBS students

The Himalayan Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (HCIE), in collaboration with the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS), organized an insightful entrepreneurial session titled “Doctor to Founder: How Medical Students Can Build the Next Big Startup” for the 2022 batch of MBBS students on 27 February 2025.

The session featured Dr. Amjad Husain, Director, HCIE, as the keynote speaker, who provided valuable insights into the intersection of medicine and entrepreneurship. Designed to inspire and educate future healthcare leaders, the session explored the vast opportunities for medical students to venture into healthcare innovation and startup development. As part of the event, Dr. Amjad Husain conducted a quantitative business model exercise, engaging students in a hands-on learning experience. Mr. Ansh Kapoor demonstrated exceptional analytical skills, answering most of the questions correctly and winning the first prize a Lenovo tablet.

The session concluded with an engaging discussion, encouraging students to view entrepreneurship as a viable career path and leverage their medical expertise to drive impactful innovations in healthcare.
