Published on: February 13, 2025

The Graduate Employability Enhancement Training (GEET) program was successfully held on 13th February 2025 at the Himalayan School of Science and Technology (HSST), Swami Rama Himalayan University. Organized in collaboration with the placement department and LearnIt, under a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the event marked a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing the employability of final-year students from B.Sc. (Hons.) Data Science and BCA programs.

Conducted across multiple venues including the Auditorium, Lab-6, and LT-8, the training focused on preparing students for the demands of the modern job market. A total of 35 students participated in the assessment session that determined eligibility for the full GEET training program. The sessions were designed to develop essential soft skills, including communication, teamwork, and leadership, which are key to succeeding in professional environments.

Alongside soft skills, the GEET curriculum included comprehensive modules on digital fluency, logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, and data interpretation. These components aimed to sharpen students’ analytical thinking and equip them with the digital competencies necessary to thrive in technology-driven workplaces. The training was delivered through instructor-led sessions, hands-on assignments, and structured learning resources that supported both theoretical understanding and practical application.

The interactive nature of the sessions, including group discussions and real-time assessments, enabled students to gain confidence and improve their readiness for future employment opportunities. Feedback from participants and facilitators reflected the program’s success in addressing the gap between academic knowledge and industry expectations.

The GEET program proved to be a valuable initiative in strengthening the career readiness of HSST’s graduating students. Through its partnership with LearnIt, the university reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing professionally competent and industry-ready graduates.
