The Department of Physiotherapy at Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) hosted a prestigious academic session on 7th June 2025, featuring a guest lecture and hands-on training by internationally acclaimed fascial anatomy expert, Mr. Marius Kurkowski. A senior faculty member of the globally recognized Anatomy Trains organization, Mr. Kurkowski brought with him a wealth of knowledge and global clinical experience in Fascia and Myofascial Release.
The session commenced with a formal welcome by Dr. Daljit Singh, Dean and Principal, HIMS. He acknowledged the presence of key dignitaries including Dr. Barnali Kakati, Vice Principal, Allied Health PG Program, along with senior faculty members Dr. Praveen Rawat, Dr. Vaibhav Agarwal, Dr. Renu, Dr. Monika, Dr. Priyanka, Dr. Ashish Negi, Dr. Avinash, and Dr. Amit. Master of Physiotherapy students also attended in large numbers, engaging enthusiastically with the topic and the speaker.
Mr. Kurkowski’s lecture offered in-depth anatomical insights into fascial structures, biotensegrity, and clinically relevant myofascial release techniques. His dynamic teaching and interactive demonstrations emphasized the significance of fascia in achieving integrated, whole-body therapeutic outcomes, enriching both theoretical and practical understanding for the participants.
In recognition of his valuable contribution, a memento was presented to Mr. Kurkowski by the university leadership. The event was seamlessly coordinated by Organizing Secretaries Dr. Praveen Rawat and Dr. Vaibhav Agarwal, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth execution of the program.
