The School of Science and Technology (SST), SRHU, hosted an international guest lecture on “Transforming Tomorrow: The Role of IoT in Shaping Our Future” on 16th May 2025. The session was delivered by Dr. Shashi Bhushan, Senior Lecturer at UTP, Malaysia, and witnessed active participation from 62 attendees, including students, faculty, and tech enthusiasts.
Dr. Bhushan delivered a compelling session that introduced participants to the fundamentals of IoT and its expanding role across multiple sectors. Key elements of the talk included an overview of IoT components such as sensors, data processing, connectivity, and cloud integration. Real-world applications were demonstrated from domains like smart homes, healthcare, agriculture, and industrial automation—showcasing how IoT is transforming modern life.
The session encouraged interdisciplinary thinking and innovation while equipping participants with practical insights and strategies for IoT implementation. Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing keen interest in future expert-led sessions on emerging technologies.
