The IEEE SRHU Student Branch (STB60226050) organized a highly successful IEEE Awareness Session on 12th February 2025 at the HSST Auditorium, Swami Rama Himalayan University. This event aimed to introduce students to the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and highlight the myriad benefits of IEEE Student Membership. The session was thoughtfully divided into two parts to accommodate different groups of students, ensuring wide participation.
The session commenced with an inspiring inauguration by Dr. Pramod Kumar, Principal of HSST, who emphasized IEEE’s pivotal role in advancing technology for humanity. He encouraged students to explore the opportunities that IEEE membership offers in research, networking, and professional growth. Following the inauguration, the IEEE SRHU Student Branch team shared their experiences, providing students with firsthand insights into the branch’s vibrant activities and initiatives.
A detailed presentation by the IEEE SRHU Student Branch Chair elaborated on IEEE’s global influence and the benefits of student membership, including access to technical resources, competitions, skill development workshops, and leadership opportunities. This comprehensive overview motivated students to engage actively with IEEE and leverage its platform for academic and career advancement.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation, with 234 students attending and actively engaging with the content. Feedback indicated a strong interest in joining IEEE and participating in future events organized by the student branch. The IEEE SRHU Student Branch remains dedicated to nurturing a culture of innovation, collaboration, and professional development, supporting students in their journey toward becoming future technology leaders.
