The Department of Pathology, in collaboration with the Hematology Section, conducted a focused Flow Cytometry Workshop on March 1, 2025, as a part of the comprehensive training module titled “Modern Biology: Advanced Molecular Tools for Healthcare” organized by the Himalayan School of Biosciences, SRHU.
Designed to bridge theory and practice, the workshop offered participants an in-depth understanding of flow cytometry principles, instrumentation, and clinical relevance. Participants learned how this advanced technology plays a crucial role in the diagnosis and monitoring of hematological disorders, immune profiling, and cell cycle analysis.
The hands-on sessions allowed attendees to operate the flow cytometer, interpret data, and explore the synergy of flow cytometry with other molecular tools in research and healthcare. The expert-led sessions also enabled robust peer learning and dialogue on real-world clinical applications.
With around 40 participants, the workshop proved to be a fruitful learning experience, equipping early-career researchers, postgraduate students, and faculty with practical skills and updated knowledge critical for advanced diagnostics and translational research.
