The Fresher Party 2024 was a vibrant and memorable occasion held at the HSST Auditorium, Swami Rama Himalayan University, Dehradun, to warmly welcome the new batch of students. The celebration brought together more than 500 students and faculty members in an atmosphere filled with joy, energy, and togetherness. Organized by the senior students, the event reflected the vibrant spirit and inclusive culture of HSST.
The day commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the beginning of a new academic journey. This was followed by an inspiring welcome address by the Principal, who motivated students to pursue both academic excellence and holistic development during their time at the university. The program featured a variety of cultural performances, including energetic dance routines and soulful musical renditions, all led by enthusiastic senior students.
A key highlight of the event was the ramp walk, where freshers showcased their confidence and personality, receiving encouragement and applause from the audience. Interactive games, dare challenges, and a high-spirited dance battle added fun and laughter to the event, fostering connection and camaraderie among the students. The celebration culminated in an award ceremony that recognized standout newcomers, with Shreyaskar Srivastava and Tanya Purohit being crowned Mr. Fresher and Ms. Fresher respectively.
The festivities concluded with a lively DJ session that saw students dancing and celebrating together, followed by a group photo session capturing the joyful moments of the day. The event not only helped the new students feel welcomed and appreciated but also set a positive tone for their academic journey ahead. It strengthened the bond within the student community and created lasting memories for everyone involved.
