Report on Hands-on Workshop on “Google Earth Engine (GEE) with Machine Learning”

The School of Science & Technology, Swami Rama Himalayan University, organized a “Hands-on Workshop on Google Earth Engine (GEE) with Machine Learning” on 13th October 2025. The workshop aimed to equip students and research scholars with practical skills in geospatial data analysis, remote sensing, and the application of machine learning techniques using the Google Earth Engine platform. Participants gained valuable insights into processing satellite imagery, environmental monitoring, and spatial data visualization for research and real-world problem-solving.

The session provided a comprehensive understanding of integrating GEE with machine learning algorithms for efficient data classification, prediction, and pattern recognition. Through guided exercises and live demonstrations, attendees explored the use of cloud-based geospatial tools to address challenges in agriculture, urban planning, climate change, and natural resource management. The workshop encouraged participants to adopt data-driven approaches and innovative technologies to enhance their analytical capabilities.

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students shared their learning experiences and discussed research applications of GEE and ML in diverse scientific domains. The workshop proved to be a highly enriching experience, promoting hands-on learning, collaboration, and technological advancement in geospatial sciences.
