On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, the Himalayan School of Science and Technology (HSST) organized a special event to celebrate the significance of the Hindi language. The event featured two key activities: a Debate Competition on the theme “हिन्दी – पारंपरिक ज्ञान और कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता के बीच सेतु” (Hindi: A Bridge between Traditional Knowledge and Artificial Intelligence) and a Hindi Kavita (Poetry Recitation). The aim was to promote the use of Hindi in both academic and creative platforms, emphasizing its role in modern technological advancements while retaining its cultural heritage.
The primary objective of the Hindi Diwas celebration was to foster an appreciation of Hindi as a dynamic language that connects traditional wisdom with emerging fields such as artificial intelligence. Through the debate and poetry competition, students were encouraged to explore the versatility of Hindi, discuss its relevance in the digital age, and showcase their creative talents in expressing their thoughts through poetry. As our honorable Principal Dr. Pramod Kumar sir always said, “Language is not just a medium of communication, but a reflection of our identity and heritage. Hindi, as one of the richest languages in the world, has the power to bridge our traditional knowledge with modern advancements, particularly in fields like artificial intelligence. Beyond academics, activities like debates and poetry help in building confidence, enhancing critical thinking, and fostering creativity always helpful in enhancing the overall personality of the student.”
The event witnessed the participation of 44 students who eloquently expressed their views and creativity. The Hindi Diwas celebration successfully promoted the use of Hindi in academic and creative expressions while celebrating its cultural and linguistic heritage.
