The Supportive and Palliative Cancer Care Services Unit of the Cancer Care Research Centre (CCRC) organized a special entertainment programme titled “Spreading Smiles: Celebrating Life and Hope” on 30th December 2025 at the Palliative Care Activity Hall, CCRC, with the aim of bringing joy, emotional comfort, and positivity to pediatric cancer patients and their families. The programme began with a welcome address by Mrs. Sukhwinder Kaur (SPCCN) followed by a prayer song, after which Ms. Ria, Clinical Psychologist, conducted engaging and therapeutic activities for the children. A birthday celebration was also organized for children born in November and December, along with the distribution of gifts. Dr. Abhishek Kandwal, DMS, CCRC, addressed the gathering and extended advance New Year wishes, while Dr. Abhishek Kandwal and Dr. Mandeep Singh Khalsa, Pediatric Hematology & Oncology, distributed sweets and gifts and conveyed their warm wishes. The highlight of the event was the arrival of Santa Claus, whose presence filled the hall with excitement as children sang, danced, and celebrated together, making the programme a joyful and memorable experience for everyone involved.
