The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) organized a two-day Skill Certification Programme in collaboration with IPER, Pune on 6–7 April 2026 at the B.C. Roy Auditorium. The programme was attended by 78 students of B.Pharm II and III year and focused on the themes “Scope and Potential after Pharmacy – Galaxy of Job Opportunities and Careers” and “Pharma Brand Management to Generate Prescription.”
The programme began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Preeti Kothiyal, Dean, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. In her address, she emphasized the importance of industry-oriented training and awareness about evolving trends in the pharmaceutical profession.
On the first day, expert sessions by Dr. Mahesh D. Burande and Mr. Sameer Burande focused on the current status of the pharmaceutical profession, challenges ahead, and diverse career opportunities in healthcare and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Students gained valuable insights into domains such as clinical research, pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, production, and sales and marketing, along with the skills required to succeed in these areas.
The second day focused on pharma brand management and marketing strategies. Sessions explored the basics of pharmaceutical marketing, prescription marketing, product positioning, and promotional strategies. Interactive activities and case-based discussions helped students understand how marketing and communication influence prescription generation and brand development in the healthcare sector.
The programme concluded with an online objective test, feedback session, and interactive discussion, allowing participants to reflect on their learning. All students received certificates from IPER, Pune. The event ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. Rahul Pandey, marking the successful completion of an informative and career-oriented programme.
