On 24th April 2025, the ACM Student Chapter of the School of Science & Technology, Swami Rama Himalayan University, hosted the Tech Quest – Industry Insight Challenge, an engaging event designed to sharpen students’ industry awareness and logical reasoning skills. This intellectually stimulating competition combined quizzes and coding teamwork challenges to provide participants with a dynamic and enjoyable learning experience.
The event consisted of two interactive rounds. The first round tested quick thinking and knowledge of current IT and technology trends through a fast-paced quiz format that kept teams on their toes. The second round challenged qualifying teams with three logical programming problems of varying difficulty levels—Easy, Moderate, and Hard—emphasizing analytical thinking and collaborative problem-solving.
The event was graced by Dr. Pramod Kumar, Principal of the School of Science & Technology, and Dr. Ashutosh Bhatt, Faculty Advisor of the ACM Student Chapter, whose encouragement and presence elevated the experience for all involved.
With approximately 56 enthusiastic participants, Tech Quest succeeded in creating a competitive yet fun environment that bridged academic concepts with real-world industry expectations. The quiz-based first round energized the crowd, while the coding challenges in the second round offered practical insights into industry-relevant problem-solving.
Beyond skill enhancement, the event fostered teamwork, collaboration, and a deeper understanding of technology trends among students. Additionally, it empowered the ACM volunteers with valuable experience in organizing and managing a live technical competition.
The success of Tech Quest – Industry Insight Challenge marks a significant milestone for SRHU’s ACM chapter, inspiring anticipation for more such impactful and knowledge-driven events in the future.
