Workshop on ‘Mastering Scientific Writing: From Research Ideas to Publication’ at SRHU
The Department of Physiotherapy, Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), successfully organized a one-day workshop on “Mastering Scientific Writing: From Research Ideas to Publication” on 23rd August 2025 at the Training & Development Centre, HIMS.
The workshop was inaugurated in the august presence of Prof. (Dr.) Daljeet Singh, Dean-cum-Principal, HIMS, who inspired the participants with his vision and guidance. Dr. Kiran Bhat, Vice Principal, Allied Health Programs, also addressed the gathering, motivating the students to enhance their research and publication skills and to pursue academic excellence.
The event was coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Vaibhav Agarwal, PT, and Dr. Praveen Rawat, PT, Organizing Secretaries of the workshop.
Faculty members including Dr. Amit, Dr. Sarvjeet, Dr. Avinash, Dr. Manish, Dr. Vithika, Dr. Renu, Dr. Priyanka, and Dr. Monika graced the inaugural session with their presence and encouragement.
The technical sessions were led by distinguished resource persons — Dr. Mohammad Sidiq, Associate Professor, Galgotias University, and Dr. Jyoti Sharma, Professor, Galgotias University. They shared valuable insights on developing research questions, structuring theses, avoiding common pitfalls, and preparing manuscripts for publication. Their interactive sessions provided participants with practical strategies to present research in a manner that is clear, credible, and impactful.
A memento and certificate distribution ceremony marked the conclusion of the workshop, where Dr. Vaibhav Agarwal, Dr. Praveen Rawat, Dr. Renu, Dr. Priyanka, and Dr. Monika presented certificates to participants and resource persons as a token of appreciation.
The workshop concluded with a formal vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the organizing team, faculty members, and active participation of students. The event not only enriched the academic environment but also reinforced SRHU’s commitment to nurturing research culture and academic excellence.
