World Pharmacist Day Celebrated at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, SRHU
The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Swami Rama Himalayan University, celebrated World Pharmacist Day on 25th September 2025 with great enthusiasm under the theme “Think Pharmacist, Think Health”. The event highlighted the crucial role of pharmacists in healthcare and aimed to inspire students toward professionalism, ethical responsibility, and skill development.
The day began with a welcome address by Prof. Preeti Kothiyal, Dean, followed by insightful guest lectures. Dr. Vipan K. Sharma spoke on professional attitude and ethics in pharmacy, Ms. Pooja Sharma emphasized essential skills like adaptability and communication, while Dr. V. Kailaiselvan, Scientific Director, Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, shared insights on ensuring drug quality, safety, and standards at both national and global levels.
To engage students creatively, Quiz, Poster Competitions, and a Nukkad Natak were organized. The quiz tested pharmaceutical knowledge, the poster competition showcased creative awareness on health issues, and the street play powerfully highlighted rational drug use and the dangers of self-medication.
The celebration concluded with prize distribution and a vote of thanks by Dr. Ujjwal Nautiyal, acknowledging faculty, students, and contributors for making the event a success. The day fostered professional identity, teamwork, and communication skills, truly reflecting the spirit of World Pharmacist Day.
