Policy on Inter University Transfer of Students

  1. This Policy shall be called “Policy on Inter University Transfer” for full-time students of other Universities who are seeking transfer to Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU).
  2. This Policy shall come into force from the date of approval of Board of Management of SRHU.
  3. In the context of the Policy;
    1. ‘Academic Year’ means admission year of SRHU;
    2. NOC’ means No Objection Certificate;
    3. ‘Other Universities’ means Universities other than SRHU;
    4. ‘PG Programme’ means Post Graduate programmes;
    5. ‘Programme’ means Programme of study;
    6. ‘Student’ means candidate seeking transfer to SRHU;
  4. Inter University Transfer shall be permissible to such a candidate who is enrolled with a University which is duly established by law and recognized by University Grants Commission.
  5. Inter University Transfer is permissible for all Programmes except for PG Programme, final year Degree Programme and those Programmes under which Inter University Transfer is not permissible by the respective Statutory Councils/Authorities.
  6. Inter University Transfer shall be allowed only at the commencement of the second year.
  7. The candidate seeking transfer in the second year degree Programme from other University should have studied the same Programme and course (subjects) which are being offered by SRHU.
  8. The candidate seeking transfer in the second year degree Programme of SRHU should have been declared ‘Pass’ in all the subjects of first year by the University from where he/she is seeking transfer.
  9. Transfer shall not be made by creating additional seat in a Programme conducted by SRHU. Transfer will be accorded within the sanctioned intake within the same Programme of study.
  10. The transfer shall be effected before the closing date fixed by SRHU for admission to the Programme to which transfer is being sought during an academic year.
  11. The candidate should not be debarred or otherwise punished person for any disciplinary or Unfair means case from the College/University from which transfer is sought.
  12. NOC from the University from where the transfer is being sought shall have to be submitted to SRHU.
  13. Candidate shall be required to submit a certificate of good conduct from the College/University from where he/she is seeking transfer.
  14. The candidate applying for transfer to SRHU should satisfy the requirements as per Admission Policy of SRHU.
  15. No candidate can claim transfer as a matter of right.
  16. University reserves the right to interpret, alter, amend, modify, cancel or withdraw any provision made in this policy manual without any notice.
