Dr Rudra Bhandari
Principal – School of Yoga Sciences (SYS)
Dr Rudra Bhandari serves as Principal and Professor, bringing over 15 years of experience in university-level teaching, training, research, and academic administration. With a strong academic background in Yoga and Health Sciences, he has contributed significantly to advancing interdisciplinary understanding of yoga, psychology, and holistic health practices.
He holds an M.Sc., is NET qualified, and earned his PhD in Yoga and Health. His areas of expertise include Yoga Therapy, Research Methods, Mind–Body–Spirit practices, Psychology, and interventional as well as theory-building research in integrative health sciences. His work bridges traditional yogic wisdom with contemporary scientific inquiry, contributing to evidence-based approaches in yoga and wellness research.
Dr Bhandari has authored over 30 indexed research publications in reputed academic journals and has successfully guided five PhD scholars in the field. His academic engagement also extends to the international research community, where he is a member of the American Psychological Association and serves on the editorial board of Wiley’s Q1 journal Human Behavior and Emerging Technologies.
Through his teaching, research, and mentorship, Dr. Bhandari continues to contribute to the development of rigorous scholarship and academic excellence in yoga and allied health sciences.
