Nukkad Natak Competition on International Biodiversity Day 22nd May 2025 at the School of Biosciences, SRHU

On the occasion of International Biodiversity Day (22nd May 2025), the School of Biosciences, SRHU, organized a Nukkad Natak competition to raise awareness about biodiversity conservation. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and was graced by the presence of esteemed guests Mrs Manju Nautiyal and Dr Savita Deorari and faculty members. Students from various academic units of SRHU enthusiastically participated,

The primary objective of the event was to sensitize students about the critical need for biodiversity conservation through creative expression and collaborative performance. The event also aimed to foster environmental consciousness and responsibility among the youth.

National Science Day Celebration in the School of Biosciences, SRHU, 28th Feb 2025

National Science Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 28th February 2025 to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect   by   Sir C.V. Raman   in 1928, for which he was awarded the   Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. This day is observed across the country to promote scientific temper and encourage innovation among students. 

The event was organized by Himalayan School of Biosciences. A Science Quiz Competition was conducted, where participants showcased their knowledge in the contemporary advancements of science. The quiz aimed to enhance critical thinking and analytical skills among students. Total 14 teams participated in the quiz competition.

Additionally, a Poster Competition   was organized on the theme   “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for Viksit Bharat” students creatively depicted scientific advancements and their role in addressing global challenges.

World Ozone Day 16th Sep, 2024 organized by the School of Biosciences, SRHU

The Himalayan School of Biosciences celebrated World Ozone Day with the aim of raising awareness about ozone depletion, its environmental impact, and the collective efforts needed to protect our planet’s ozone layer. The program started by paying tributes to His Holiness, Swami Rama by lighting of the lamp by Dr. C. S. Nautiyal, Academic Adviser, Professor Sanjay Gupta, Principal HSBS accompanied by all faculty members.The highlight of the event was a series of competitions that aimed to engage students' creativity and raise awareness about ozone protection. The competitions included poster making, model building, and collage creation.
