Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), Dehradun, received multiple honours at the 2nd Uttarakhand Pharma, Healthcare & AYUSH Conclave and Samman 2026, held in Dehradun. The conclave focused on shaping the future of Pharma, Healthcare and AYUSH by bringing together eminent representatives from industry, healthcare institutions, academia and allied sectors.
The inaugural session was chaired by Dr. Rajendra Dobhal, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, SRHU. The session witnessed deliberations by representatives from the Pharma, Healthcare and AYUSH sectors on emerging opportunities, innovation, integrated healthcare practices, quality patient care, research and collaborative approaches for strengthening the healthcare ecosystem.
During the program, organizations and individuals doing exemplary work in the fields of Pharma, Healthcare and AYUSH were felicitated. The awards were presented by Shri Madan Kaushik, Cabinet Minister, Uttarakhand Government.

Combined Therapy Healthcare Excellence Samman
Awarded to Dr. Vijay Dhasmana, Hon’ble President, SRHU. The award was received on his behalf by Prof. (Dr.) Hem Chandra, Advisor to Hon’ble President & Director, Hospital Services.
Distinguished Clinical & Academic Excellence Samman — Joint Citation
Awarded to Himalayan Hospital. The award was received by Dr. Ankit Batra, Assistant Professor, Medical Oncology, and Dr. Avriti Baveja, Clinical Hematologist.
Excellence in Orthopaedic Surgery & Medical Education Samman
Awarded to Dr. Vijendra Chauhan, Director General, Academic Development.
Champion of Community & Public Health Samman
Awarded to Dr. Ruchi Juyal, Professor.
Excellence in Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy Care Samman
Awarded to Dr. Rashmi Jindal, Professor & Head, Department of Dermatology.
The recognitions reflect SRHU’s continued commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery, medical education, research, clinical practice, community health and interdisciplinary collaboration. The honours also reaffirm the university’s contribution towards strengthening quality healthcare and promoting integrated approaches in the Pharma, Healthcare and AYUSH sectors.
