Clean India is a Shared Responsibility, Every Effort is valued

SRHU Jolly Grant Conducts Cleanliness Campaign

Raises Awareness through Rally, Posters, and Street Plays

Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Campaign), the Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) Jolly Grant organized a cleanliness and awareness program. During this, students cleaned the neighboring areas of the university. Bleaching powder was sprinkled on roads, and people were made aware of cleanliness through posters and banners.

A Swachhta Pakhwada (cleanliness fortnight) is being observed to ingrain a sense of social responsibility amongst students. Various activities have been spear-headed to raise awareness about cleanliness amongst the people. On Saturday, a cleanliness rally was held, which included students from engineering, management, yoga science, biosciences, pharmacy, nursing, and medical fields. The rally was flagged off by Dr. Ashok Deorari, the principal of HIMS. During the event, all staff and faculty members of the university took a pledge to adopt cleanliness and also encourage others to do the same.

The students carried out cleanliness campaigns not only within the university campus but also in areas like Adarsh Nagar and nearby regions. Additionally, the students performed street plays for visitors at the hospital, highlighting the benefits of cleanliness. During the campaign, the students also visited the university's Plastic Bank, STP, ETP, and Recycled Waste Paper Plant to learn about different methods of waste disposal.

Coordinators Dr. Vineet Mehrotra, Nitish Kaushik, SL Bhatt, and Kamal Joshi provided their support for the smooth conduct of the cleanliness campaign.
