Overview

Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 8 th  December, 2018 for enhancement of quality in academic and administrative performance of the University. Ever since its establishment, the IQAC Cell has been guiding the University in setting up systems and benchmarks for monitoring and enhancing quality across all relevant parameters such as teaching- learning, research & development, patents & publishing, campus facilities, infrastructure upgradation and maintenance, community engagement, health care, and others.
SRHU has earned NAAC A+ accreditation (valid upto 17.10.2029), a recognition of its constant pursuit of progress. It is Uttarakhand’s first private Health Care NAAC A+ university. SRHU has been placed in the 101–150 rank band in the University category under the NIRF 2025 rankings.

Objectives

To inculcate a culture of quality in academics, institutional support areas, and all its operations by way of setting benchmarks, systems, & procedures.

To guide the institution towards a journey of continuous improvement leading to excellence in teaching, research, and other associated areas.

Functions

Development and application of quality benchmarks
Developing parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution
Periodical conduct of Academic and Administrative Audit and its follow-up
Collection and analysis of feedback from all stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes
Dissemination of information on various quality parameters to all stakeholders
Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles
Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement
Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices
Development and maintenance of an institutional MIS database to preserve and enhance quality standards across academic, administrative, and operational functions
Facilitating a learner-centric environment that promotes quality education and empowers faculty to adopt knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning
