POST GRADUATE PROGRAMS

Master of Science in Nursing

The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council, possess B.Sc. Nursing/ B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (Regular or recognized IGNOU Centre) degree with minimum of 55% aggregate marks from an institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council and minimum one year work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing or one year work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

Duration: Two years

Number of seats: Twenty Five

Master of Science in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care)

Candidate should be B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with 55% aggregate marks & must be a registered nurse with a minimum of one year clinical experience, preferably in any critical care setting prior to enrollment. Selection will be based on merit of Entrance Examination & Interview.

Duration: Two years

Number of seats: Fifteen

UNDER GRADUATE PROGRAMS

Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Basic B.Sc. Nursing)

A candidate should have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually from a recognized Board and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination (10+2).

For SC/ST/OBC- A minimum of 40% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together.

Age: Candidates should be between 17 to 35 years on or before 31st December of the admission year.

Duration: Four years

Number of seats: One hundred

Post Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing)

The candidate must have passed GNM from an institution, which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, with 50% aggregate marks and should be registered in Parent Nursing Council.

Duration: Two years

Number of seats: Forty

DIPLOMA PROGRAMS

General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)

A candidate should have passed all subjects individually in the qualifying examination (10+2) from a recognized Board and must have obtained a minimum of exact 40% marks in aggregate.

Age: Candidates should be between 17 to 35 years on or before 31st December of the admission year.

Duration: Three years

Number of seats: Forty Five

POST GRADUATE PROGRAMS

Master of Science in Nursing

The candidates are shortlisted on merit basis of the qualifying examination.

The merit list is displayed and shortlisted candidates are required to attend personal counseling session, to be eligible to get offer for admission to the program.

The counseling committee constituted by SRHU selects students on the basis of candidate’s qualifying testimonials, credentials and fitness in medical examinations by Medical Board of the university.

Master of Science in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care)

The candidates are shortlisted on basis of the qualifying examination.

Candidates are informed for schedule of entrance examination & interview.

All successful candidates’ merit list is displayed on website & University Notice Board rank-wise with schedule of counseling.

All successful candidates are required to attend personal counseling, before offer for admission to the program.

The counseling committee selects students on the basis of candidates’ rank in entrance examination & interview, testimonials, credentials and medical examination.

 

UNDER GRADUATE PROGRAMS

Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Basic B.Sc. Nursing)

The candidates are shortlisted on basis of the qualifying examination as per eligibility criteria prescribed by INC. The merit list is displayed and shortlisted candidates are required to attend personal counseling session, to be eligible to get offer for admission to the program. The personal counseling committee selects students on the basis of candidates’ qualifying testimonials, credentials and medical examination.

*Due to COVID-19, University may not be able to conduct entrance examinations for Basic B.Sc. Nursing (2020-21).  Admission will be as per merit list based on marks obtained in the last qualifying examination.

 

Post Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing)

The candidates are shortlisted on merit basis of the qualifying examination.

The merit list is displayed and shortlisted candidates are required to attend personal counseling session, to be eligible to get offer for admission to the program.

* GNM Program is approved by Uttarakhand Nurses & Midwives Council (NOT UNDER SRHU). 50% seats will be filled through the Entrance Examination conducted by the State Government and 50% by SRHU. No reservation exists for seats filled by the Entrance Examination conducted by SRHU.
