SRHU introduces a new program ‘Bachelor of Pharmacy’ (B.Pharm) in Himalayan School of Pharmaceutical Sciences from current academic session.
Introduction:
Beginning the current academic year, Swami Rama Himalayan University has launched a brand new program: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), a four-year program, under Himalayan School of Pharmaceutical Sciences:
Candidate who have passed 10+2 examination with PCM/PCB with English as one of the subjects are eligible to apply.
With these youngsters from the hills and north India will be particularly benefitted. Just like other specialized courses being run in this well-known academic institution of Uttarakhand, ‘Himalayan School of Pharmaceutical Sciences’ is geared to provide high-quality education in pharmacy, foster scientific temper, develop heightened human sensibilities in students, and promote professional and technological expertise.
Pharmacy has been traditionally defined as, “The art, science and practice of preparing, preserving, compounding and dispensing of drugs.” But a more recent definition adds to the scope and value of this extremely useful area of human health. It states that Pharmacy is a patient oriented health service that applies a scientific body of knowledge to improve and promote health through assurance of safety and efficacy in drug usage and therapy.” In contemporary times pharmacy practice covers areas such as ‘hospital pharmacy’, community pharmacy’ and ‘clinical pharmacy.’
