World Physiotherapy Day, observed by Department of Physiotherapy HIMS, Swami Rama Himalayan University

‘Department of Physiotherapy’ HIMS, Swami Rama Himalayan University observed ‘World Physiotherapy Day’ formally on 8th September.

Aim was to create awareness about the crucial role of physiotherapy in keeping people healthy.

The Physiotherapy Department, HIMS came alive with enthusiasm as it celebrated World Physiotherapy Day, dedicated to recognizing the crucial role of physiotherapists in enhancing the health and mobility of individuals.

Physiotherapy, a discipline centered on the art and science of movement, played a pivotal role in this year's festivities. The event featured informative hands-on demonstrations, aimed at spreading awareness about the low back pain, and postural corrections to highlight the importance of physiotherapy in maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.

The faculty and students of the Physiotherapy Department, HIMS showcased their expertise in addressing various musculoskeletal conditions, neurological disorders, and sports injuries. Visitors were treated to live demonstrations of therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques and the like. Dr. Atul Agarwal HOD, Physiotherapy praised the event organized by the students and faculty members.

Dr. Arun Pathak Incharge , Dr. Amit Sharma, Dr. Praveen Rawat, Dr. Ashish Negi, Dr. Saravjeet, Dr. Manish Jha were present from the Physiotherapy Department along with BPT final year students.

The event also served as an opportunity for the community to engage with physiotherapists and ask questions about their health concerns. Attendees were left with a deeper understanding of the potential of physiotherapy in improving their lives.
