Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Workshop organised by department of pediatrics, under IAP NRP FGM project
Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Workshop was organised by department of pediatrics, Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences under the IAP NRP FGM project on 19th November 2023. The Workshop witnessed active participation from 35 dedicated participants, from all over Garhwal region, 6 esteemed faculty members, and 3 keen observers. Inaugurating the workshop, special guest Dr Vipin Vaish and state coordinator Dr Alpa Gupta provided a comprehensive overview of the workshop's significance.
The participants, comprising neonatologists, pediatricians, and nurses, and obstetricians expressed unanimous appreciation for the workshop's practical approach and hands-on training. They highlighted the importance of real-life simulations, which enhanced their skills in managing critical neonatal situations. Feedback suggested that the interactive sessions fostered a dynamic learning environment, allowing participants to exchange experiences and learn from diverse perspectives.
The workshop's success owes much to the exceptional contributions of the experienced faculty comprising Prof B P Kalra, Prof Anil Rawat, Dr Sanober Wasim, Dr Vishal Kaushik and Dr Rakesh Kumar. The faculty facilitated engaging discussions, shared clinical experiences, and provided constructive feedback during simulated resuscitation scenarios. Participants lauded the faculty's ability to blend theoretical knowledge with practical skills, creating a holistic learning experience.
The three observers, Dr Neerul Pandita, Dr Shantanu Shubham and Dr Ashok Garg who will act as future faculty praised the workshop's structured curriculum. They emphasized how observing the faculty and participants in action enhanced their understanding of neonatal resuscitation techniques, offering them a unique learning opportunity to complement their theoretical knowledge.
These workshops play a critical role of ongoing education in improving patient outcomes as the workshop is focussed on practical skills.
