Krishna Janmashtami Celebrated with Great Fervor at SRHU
The Krishna Janmashtami festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), Jolly Grant. During the event, devotional singers Anant Mishra and Arpana Mishra gave mesmerizing performances of various Krishna bhajans.
The Janmashtami festival organized at Swami Rama Himalayan University was celebrated with much fanfare. During the event, students from MBBS, Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Yoga Sciences, and Nursing departments participated in the Krishna Leela, enacting various episodes from Lord Krishna's childhood to his youth, leaving the audience deeply moved. The event also featured a Flower Holi and a Matki Phod competition. Following this, devotional singers Anant Mishra and Arpana Mishra enchanted everyone with soul-stirring performances of songs like "Yashomati Maiyya Se Bole Nandlala," "Shri Krishna Govind Hare Murari, He Nath Narayan Vasudev," "Zara Itna Bata De Kanhaiya," "Mere Pyare Banke Bihari," "Tu Sumiran Kar Radhe Radhe," "Chhota Sa Kanhaiya Dekho," and "Kanhaiya Re Thoda Sa Pyar De."
The celebrations concluded late at night with a grand aarti for Lord Krishna’s birth, followed by distribution of prasad.
